What Does It Mean To Be A Medically Fragile Child?
“Medically Fragile Children” are children with medical complexity that is defined as having significant chronic health problems that affect multiple organ systems and result in functional limitations, high health care needs or utilization, and often the need for or use of medical technology.
Common Family Needs
Navigating life with a medically fragile child presents a myriad of challenges beyond medical care alone. Families in this situation often require extensive support to cope with the emotional, financial, and other needs that accompany their circumstances.
Connect Cares supports families of medically fragile children beyond medical care to address their emotional, financial, and practical needs. We desire to alleviate the burdens faced by these families, empowering them to focus on providing the best possible care for their children while maintaining their own well-being.

Our Story
In June 2006, our sweet nephew, Dillon, was born. Dillon was a healthy baby all the way up until birth, but during labor and delivery there were complications that caused Dillon to go without oxygen for an extended period of time. As a result, Dillon suffered severe brain damage and now requires continuous skilled nursing care.
Each day is a gift from God, but there are challenges along the way and needs that often go unmet. Our goal is to help fill these gaps and provide families of medically fragile children with support that will enable their families to provide the best quality of life for their child while maintaining their own well-being. Thank you for your generous support that enables us to help fulfill this mission!
